Hanoi Train Track Café now closed amid safety concerns

The decision has caused public controversy, with some saying the Hanoi Train Track Café should continue to exist in order to attract visitors, particularly as it is a unique tourist destination. Meanwhile, many people have complained that the existence of these cafés is extremely dangerous because accidents could happen at any time when a train passes by According to relevant traffic laws, the safety corridor of the railway is regulated to be 3 metres, but in fact residential houses are only 2 metre from the edge of the outermost rail. Local residents there have built makeshift coffee shops in order to make a living and to capitalise on the trend. The autumn festival commemorates the death anniversary of 13th century national hero General Tran Hung Dao who led the country to victory over Mongolian invaders, as well as the death anniversary of 15th century national hero Nguyen Trai. The seal-opening ceremony is held following two-year disruption caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The organisers plan to offer 50,000 seals to visitors. The Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2022 is held from the 10th to 20th day of the eighth lunar month, or September 5 to September 15 this year. Bac Ninh gas pipe explosion injures 34 workers

Many workers rush out of the factory following the incident, with 34 among them being immediately hospitalised. Ambulances are rapidly mobilised to the scene to bring injured people to nearby hospitals to receive treatment. Glass doors are shattered following the gas pipe explosion hitting a factory of Seojin Auto Co. Ltd. The health condition of a majority of workers is now stable. Police are now looking into the cause of the explosion.
