Porcelain paintings in Da Nang’s pagoda set Vietnamese record
The 16 paintings have an impressive total area of 192m2. They are attached to the walls of four towers within the pagoda, including Phuoc Hue, Thai Hoa, Thanh Tuu, and Vien Man towers. Each painting is unique due to having its own meaning and features many of the nation’s famous landscapes. The paintings have been carefully assembled using small pieces of porcelain by artisans from Hanoi’s Bat Trang ancient pottery village for two years. Phuoc Hue tower features porcelain paintings detailing sightseeing spots in Da Nang, such as the Han river and Ngu Hanh Son (Marble) mountains.
