Ho Chi Minh City reveals big plans for New Year, Tet celebrations

The first event is the ‘Ho Chi Minh City – Our Home’ festival, which will take place in the Nguyen Hue pedestrian zone, on Le Loi Boulevard and at Bach Dang Wharf Park in District 1 from Friday to Sunday. This fest is expected to attract participants from 23 cities around the world that have established relationships with Ho Chi Minh City. It will also feature the first trumpet music festival in the city. The southern metropolis will also host the Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival and the second hot air balloon festive day in the Nguyen Hue pedestrian zone and Thu Thiem 2 Bridge Park in Thu Duc City from December 8 to 11. “Dr. Lan has been at the forefront of protecting the rights of filmmakers in Vietnam,” said Belinda Lui, president and managing director of the Asia-Pacific region of Motion Picture Association. “We are honoured to recognize the significant contribution Dr. Lan has made to strengthening copyright during her tenure in various leadership roles in government and industry. Over the years, Dr. Lan has initiated numerous knowledge exchange programs, in Vietnam and at film events around the world. Her efforts have helped to build a healthy and sustainable film and television industry in Vietnam that is increasingly competitive on the world stage,” Lui noted. After learning about the food truck business model, we applied this idea with pho – a traditional Vietnamese dish.” The truck was purchased for USD 4020.93.
