Colourful mural painting street takes shape in Da Nang
The paintings depict cultural life, natural landscapes, and the daily life of local people. The opening ceremony attracts plenty of people curious to visit the site. Hoang Son Tra, head of the Son Tra district government, says that the project is to create a green living space for locals, promote the cultural values of the coastal area, and encourage people to safeguard the country’s sea and islands. The mural street will also help to turn the area into a popular tourist destination in the district, says the official. He directs relevant agencies to popularize the mural painting street at Da Nang airport and hotels as the latest check-in destination in the city. Each mural depicts the lives of sea creatures and the beauty of the fishing village, whilst simultaneously raising people’s awareness of environmental protection.
