Central Vietnam several hours ahead of Noru landfall
A major street in UNESCO-recognised city of Hoi An has turned quiet, and rain has started to fall in the city. In Quang Tri province, several residential houses have been damaged by heavy rain and strong wind. Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, who is head of the command to deal with Noru consequences has made a fact-finding trip to Quang Tri to examine its preparedness. Soldiers have been mobilized to reinforce residential houses in Binh Dinh province. Streets have become quiet as residents have been advised to stay indoors.
