Each day these women start their work from 10 p.m. One of their main responsibilities is to drag along deliveries of fruit, vegetables, and seafood to stalls throughout the market. It is then up to the labourers to fulfill the task of unloading the items and then distributing them among the various businesses at the market. Ha Long city to host Hokkaido festival in November

This information was released at a meeting between the administration of Quang Ninh province and Takebe Tsutomu, special advisor of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Alliance on February 28. The festival represents be a good chance for young people to gain a greater understanding about Japanese culture and to thereby build bridges connecting the two countries. The event will feature Japanese tea, Origami (Japanese paper folding craft), Japanese comics, and other products from Hokkaido Prefecture which will be put on display. At the meeting the two sides discussed the establishment of a representative office of Ha Long University in Japan, with the goal of enhancing the exchange of students and teachers, as well as supporting Japanese and Vietnamese businesses to expand operation in both countries. Vietnam’s Central Highlands province to open coffee street next month

The coffee road, which will span Phan Dinh Giot Street in the Buon Ma Thuot City center, will be launched as a sidelines event before the opening of the eighth Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival from March 10-14. It is also part of a project to promote the city as a coffee destination of the world. Visitors to the street will be served the most delicious and typical local coffee products. “About 300 cafĂ©s in the city will serve free coffee to residents and visitors during the upcoming coffee festival,” said Tran Duc Nhat, deputy chairman of Buon Ma Thuot. Northern province expects strengthened cooperation with Japan’s localities

US – biggest supplier of meat, meat products to Vietnam in January: MoIT

In January, Vietnam imports 35,440 tonnes of meat and meat products worth USD 74.13 million (Photo: VNA). The imports from the US made up 22.45% of the total meat and products that Vietnam imported from 29 markets all over the world in the month. Citing data from Vietnam Customs, the Import-Export Department stated that in January, Vietnam imported 35,440 tonnes of meat and meat products worth 74.13 million USD. It saw a reduction of 45.7% in volume and 45.4% in value compared with those of December 2022. Regarding import prices, in January 2023, the average import price of meat and meat products to Vietnam reached 2,092 USD per tonne, up 0.5% compared to December 2022 but down 1.6% compared to that in January 2022. Particularly for pork, in the month, Vietnam imported 4, 910 tonnes of fresh chilled or frozen pork, worth 1.57 million USD from 15 markets.
