Busy Tet holiday travel continues at Noi Bai Airport
The previous day Noi Bai Airport runs 521 flights carrying 74,600 passengers. The airport is expected to serve 580 flights a day with approx. 104,000 passengers on board during the peak time in a couple of days. The airport has also arranged night flights to meet people’s increasing demand for travelling at this time of year. The airport has increased the number of staff and officers, with all checkpoints opening early to accommodate the holiday rush. During the busiest days, to avoid missing their flights, passengers are advised to arrive at the airport three hours early for international flights and two hours early for domestic flights. Passengers without check-in baggage are encouraged to make use of online check-in services or check-in kiosks at the airport. Noi Bai Airport has requested that families don’t go to the airport to see members off in order to avoid overcrowding, especially during the peak hours from 8 a.m.
