A special day for the elderly at Hanoi care centre
The centre is home to nearly 160 people, among them are over 70 senior citizens. Many people have lived there for between 10 to 20 years. For the elderly, living in the same house and having friends nearby to talk to serve as a great source of encouragement for them for the rest of their lives. Ky sings a song in four languages as a special gift to women at the centre on International Women’s Day on March 8. Singing and talking with each other give them happiness each day. Hoang Thi Kim Loan, 85, (R) can’t remember the exact time when she moved to the centre, but she says living there helps her feel happy and have no loneliness each day.
