Vietnamese culture introduced at Army Games 2022

The pavilion also displays photos on the traditional relationship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia, especially in politics and national defence. The 2022 Army Games, held from August 13-27, gathers 270 teams from 37 countries worldwide. Its competitions are being held in Russia and several countries such as Uzbekistan, Armenia and Belarus. Hanoi Art Photo Festival 2022 winners announced

A photo collection with the theme of “Moments during SEA Games 31” taken by Pham Dinh Thanh won a gold medal at the event, featuring special moments captured during the largest sporting event in Southeast Asia hosted by Vietnam last May. Two silver and three bronze medals, along with five consolation prizes, were also awarded. Notably, most winners are young photographers. Tran Thi Thu Dong, president of the Vietnam Photographic Artists Association, said the entries truly highlight cultural and sport activities in Hanoi that illustrate  valuable moments of Hanoians during their daily lives and taking part in festive activities. The ninth iteration of the festival running with the theme of freedom is being jointly organised by the Vietnam Photographic Artists Association and the Hanoi Art Photographers Association. Vietnamese Film Week celebrates national days

The event, which began on August 19 and will run until September 5, presents feature films, documentaries and animated films by talented directors from different periods. Highlighted works include the feature film Anh Thay Ngoi Sao (My Teacher) produced by CJ HK Entertainment and HK Film, the documentary film Nguyen Tat Thanh- Nhung Dau An Lich Su (Nguyen Tat Thanh- Historical Events) by People’s Army Film Studio, and the animated film Dai Hanh Hoang De (Emperor Le Dai Hanh) by Vietnam Animation Studio. According to the event’s organser, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the film screening is being jointly held by the Cinema Department, film studios and cinema centres nationwide. Question: The VNA’s 2022 safety video has received much applause from viewers. How are your feelings right now? Director Phuong Vu : I’m very happy. From the beginning of the project until its completion, I was very worried. Now, when I see people’s good reactions about it, that worry has almost been relieved. I’m really happy. I received an order from Vietnam Airlines for making the video two years ago. This is a big order. Vietnam Airlines is the national airline; and this project is important because the video will be shown onboard on all VNA flights, so I face great pressure to implement this project. The previous editions of the video were produced by experienced directors. I am the youngest one yet, so that is also a great pressure for me. Vietnam Airlines’ latest flight safety video impressed viewers on its scenes. How did you come up with the idea of setting such unique scenes for the video? One of the highlights of the event is an Ao Dai, the nation’s traditional long dress, fashion show by traders in Dong Ba market. Exhibition honours ancient ships and national treasures

The exhibition was part of activities within the framework of the forum on linking tourism development between the Central Key Economic Region and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. According to Deputy Director of Quang Ngai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui Van Tien, Vietnam is a country with a coastline stretching from north to south, so it had a particularly important position in international trade. Therefore, many sea routes and ports in the coastal areas of Vietnam became the transhipment point of goods, as well as the stopping points for ships from many different countries. The historical documents and archaeological investigation results showed that trading ports have been developed since ancient times.
