Vietnamese culture, image introduced at Italian festival

The festival, an annual event held in mid-May, provided a chance for foreign communities in Italy to meet and exchange with each other. The Vietnamese booth, showcasing Vietnamese traditional conical hats (non la) and calligraphy art, attracted many visitors, especially youngsters. Visitors had a chance to enjoy Vietnamese ao dai (traditional dress) shows, dragon dances and martial arts performances, as well as traditional dishes of Vietnam. Sergio Vercelli, head of the organising board, expressed delight at the participation of the Vietnamese community in the event as well as impression at their special performances. The festival concluded with a parade to the central square of Borgomanero. It aimed to spread a message of peace, friendship and common development in diversity among all communities not only in Borgomarero but all countries, regions and the whole world. British experts discover new untouched caves in Quang Binh

According to Dinh Tien Dung, vice chairman of the Tuyen Hoa district administration, on March 24 an expedition of the British Royal Cave Association conducted a survey of limestone mountains in Lam Hoa commune where they discovered a pristine cave system. Running for a total length of 3,349m, the caves also feature underground rivers which are completely pristine. They have duly been named Hung Tru 1, Hung Tru 2, Hung Tru 3, Hung Ka Vong 1, and Hung Ka Vong 2. The British experts will continue to make use of boats and other support tools to delve further into the caves in the near future, Dung revealed. British explorers have a history of helping to investigate many caves in Quang Binh province, known as the nation’s kingdom of caves. UGVF President Vuong Huu Nhan said that the get-together aimed to share memories of a heroic period at the UGVF’s headquarters at No.16 on Petit Musc street, Paris – an important venue for negotiations on the Paris Peace Accords 50 years ago. Vietnamese Products Introduced at Northern Ireland’s Largest Agricultural Fair

With the support of the Vietnam Trade Office in the UK, the products of 12 Vietnamese brands were displayed at Balmoral Show 2023. It is the largest annual agri-food fair in Northern Ireland, taking place from May 10-13 at Balmoral Park, Lisburn city. The opening ceremony of Balmoral Show 2023 was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Nguyen Hoang Long and representatives of the Northern Ireland Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA). Balmoral Show is a traditional fair, beginning 154 years ago. Unique style of Red Dao traditional outfits

One of the groups is the Dao ethnic minority people who reside, for the most part, in the mountainous northern provinces of Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Ha Giang and Lang Son. The Red Dao are a subgroup of the Dao people, renowned for their colourful traditional costumes that leave an indelible impression on visitors. Tuyen Quang is home to nearly 91,000 Dao people from nine different subgroups, with the Red Dao people living mostly in the districts of Na Hang and Lam Binh. For the Red Dao, the way they dress symbolises their ethnicity and distinguishes them from others. They are easily identifiable by the predominance of red in their clothing as the colour is believed to bring luck, happiness, prosperity and positive energy to everybody. The traditional Red Dao art of costume decoration in Tuyen Quang’s districts of Na Hang, Lam Binh, Chiem Hoa, Ham Yen and Son Duong was recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible heritage last year.
