Winners of the Wine Pinnacle Awards 2022 recognised at Resorts World Sentosa

The most coveted title of ‘Technical Committee’s Choice’ was presented unanimously to Barbara Banke, Chairman and Proprietor of Jackson Family Wines. Vietnam wins 6 gold medals at world pencak silat championship

Pencak silat is a full-body fighting form featuring strikes, grappling, and throwing, alongside weaponry. Hoang Mai Anh was the first one to bring home a gold medal for the national team at this year’s tournament, defeating Indonesian opponent Fransiska Dewi in the final of the women’s 85-kilogram category. Nguyen Duy Tuyen retained his world title after overwhelming Thai boxer Pimpirat Tonkhieo in the final of men’s 85-kilogram. At the world championship in 2018 in Singapore, Tuyen became the champion of this weight class. Following Tuyen, An Thi Hoa also competed in the final and defeated Indonesian athlete Nia Larasati in the women’s 80-kilogram division.
