In the celebration of the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Ireland, Quang Tri province organize many activities such as: jogging for the community “We run – We share,” handing over mobile rehabilitation vehicles for RENEW project funded by the Government of Ireland, and a lighting ceremony to celebrate Ireland’s National Day (March 17). At the celebration, Ambassador John McCullagh connected the color green, the color of his homeland, to the Vietnamese people. The green light at Hien Luong Bridge is of special significance because the bridge no longer symbolizes the division of the North and South of Vietnam, but a symbol of connecting people. At the same time, this activity reminds the two sides of the long-standing and close relationship between Ireland – Vietnam. Cultural diplomacy helps boost tourism and investment

Cultural diplomacy is exemplified in cultural exchange activities, and art performances to promote the image of Vietnam to the world and attract foreign investors and tourists. “We are happy to see each other” was the farewell song performed by Vietnamese artists at the Vietnam Festival in Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture last September. During the festival, Vietnamese water puppetry, folk dance, and musical instruments were introduced to a Japanese audience.  The cultural event brought Vietnamese and Japanese closer together. “I watched the water puppetry performance in Vietnam once. This time, water puppetry is performed at the Vietnam Festival in Japan. It’s very interesting,” said Asuka, a Japanese audience member. Kuroiwa Yuji, the governor of Kanagawa Prefecture, said the Vietnam Festival is a much-awaited exchange event in Kanagawa and its neighboring areas. He expressed his hope that the festival will grow in a larger scale. “It’s so exciting. I hope that such cultural eve

Vietnam’s My Khe ranks among Asia’s 10 best beaches

It is the only beach in Vietnam to be named in the list. My Khe Beach, nestled in Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City, is around two kilometers from the city center. The beach, which is about 900 meters long, is among the busiest in Da Nang, Nhan Dan (People) newspaper reported. My Khe is well known for soft white sand, little waves, and clean, warm seawater so that tourists can swim all year round. Jonathan Chan, a U.S. traveler, wrote on Tripadvisor that My Khe is a “gorgeous beach,” adding that “the sand is soft and fine, there are plenty of seashells, gentle waves for swimming and wading, lots of spots along the way for a drink or a beach chair under the shade. Lifeguards watch the swimming areas. Great views up and down the beach.” In 2019, Malaysian tourist Appan Majumdar left a five-star rating for My Khe Beach and a comment with over 1,200 words, saying that he wished he could have stayed there longer. According to him, My Khe was one of the best beaches he h

The best time of year to visit and experience this destination is in January, immediately before the Lunar New Year, it added.
