Three Potential Areas To Promote Vietnam – South Africa’s People-to-people Exchanges

Ambassador Vuyiswa Tulelo said, in the economic field, the two countries can strengthen cooperation in coal import and export. South Africa is rich in natural resources, with up to 50 billion tons of coal reserves, which is a potential source of supply for Vietnam to serve its development requirements and goals. In the field of education, through educational exchanges, students of the two countries not only share knowledge but also enhance mutual understanding. Vietnam and South Africa have many similarities in culture, therefore, heritage introduction activities benefit the promotion of bilateral relations.

According to the South African ambassador, the people-to-people relations between Vietnam and South Africa are positively developing. The South African community shows deep sentiment toward Vietnam, considering Vietnam as their second home. An increasing number of South Africans are coming to Vietnam to work and live, laying an important basis for promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries in the coming time.
