Central Highlands to host first ever Vietnam Amazing Brewing Master

The event, part of the annual Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, has so far attracted a huge number of Vietnamese citizens to register.

Contestants will perform by making traditional filter coffee and using V60 (brewing equipment).

In the qualifying round, they will be divided into three groups, with each group expected to have seven to 10 candidates. Contestants will then compete individually and two contestants of each group with the highest scores will enter the final round.

The final round will see six contestants compete individually and score points. The contestant with the highest score will therefore win the contest.

There will be one first prize, one second prize, and one third prize on offer, according to the organisers.

The Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association has stated that the competition is a gathering place for people who are passionate about coffee, allowing them a platform to share knowledge and experience, and create an attractive connection space for the coffee community.

It aims to discover, honour, and promote outstanding talents in coffee brewing, thereby motivating baristas to constantly practice, improve their skills and creativity, and enhance the role of baristas to create premium coffee to meet the increasing needs of consumers.

In addition, it also helps to promote and develop the country’s specialty coffee industry and Vietnamese coffee culture, contributing to increasing domestic consumption and the value of Vietnamese coffee globally.
