Sunflower field attracts visitors over New Year weekend in north-central Vietnam

The cold weather on Monday morning did not stop crowds from descending on the sunflower field in Nghia Lam Commune, Nghia Dan District.

For dozens of hectares, millions of golden sunflowers bloomed across the field, offering limitless photo opportunities for visiting tourists.

Thanks to the favorable weather conditions, the sunflowers bloomed right on the occasion of the New Year, which helped the field become a popular spot for visitors during the holiday.

Each sunflower in the field is about over one meter tall – the perfect height for most visitors to pose with.

According to an employee at the field, the sunflowers were planted about a month ago and are expected to live until the end of January.

Pham Thi Tra My, 35, a resident of Hoang Mai District, Hanoi, said she and her family visited their relatives in Nghe An Province during the holiday and had some time to have fun at the sunflower field.

“Everyone is happy with the photos they took,” My said.

“I will share this beautiful place with my friends when I get back to Hanoi.”
