The tournament is one of the main events held during the “Hanoi Golf and Cultural Exchange Week 2022” co-organized by the Kinh te & Do thi (Economic and Urban) Newspaper and the Vietnam Golf Tourism Association in Hanoi.
Le Hoang Anh, Deputy Editor in Chief of Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper, said the Hanoi Golf and Cultural Exchange Week 2022 was among major events to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the liberation of the capital city on October 10 and the 18th anniversary of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13,
He said that the sporting event is expected to help boost tourism activities and Hanoi’s socio-economic growth and connect domestic and international business people in the post-pandemic stage.
“Hundreds of golf players have actively partaken in the sporting event, including 60 Singaporean golfers,” Anh said.
“Fashion shows and golf-related conferences will also attract the attention of hundreds of sports lovers,” he said.
“The organization of the sporting event is considered professional, and prizes are well-received by the players, though the tournament is for non-professional players,” Anh added.
“Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper and the Vietnam Golf Tourism Association are proud to be the event’s main sponsors. Hopefully, the event will occur every year, so golfers can meet and exchange their business ideas,” the deputy chief editor said.
The Hanoi Golf and Cultural Exchange Week 2002 occurs from October 17 to October 22, 2022. In addition to the golf tournament, other activities include a fashion and accessory show at Long Bien Golf Court.
On October 21, the Vietnam Golf Tourism Association will host a workshop themed “Joining hands to develop golf in Vietnam”. The workshop will connect owners and investors of golf courts in Hanoi and neighboring provinces with travel agencies to discuss difficulties and opportunities in the golf tourism market in Vietnam.
