Saigon Heat the first team to win three consecutive VBA championship titles
Saigon Heat took the lead early on, though the Buffaloes’ home-court advantage helped them keep pace during the first few minutes of the game.
By the end of the first quarter, the Heat began to pull away. The quarter ended with the Heat ahead 22-19.

Hanoi Buffaloes focused on defense during the next two quarters, severely limiting Heat star Madarious Gibbs.
Fortunately, Phu Vinh, Kim Ban, and Hoang Tu managed to fill the void and stretch the Heat’s lead to 16 points by the end of the third quarter.
During the final quarter, Hanoi Buffaloes attempted a comeback, but it was too little too late.
The victory made Saigon Heat the first team in VBA history to win three consecutive championships.
