Vietnam Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 on show
Starting from 3 pm on Friday afternoon, the first show of the event was held at the Hoan Kiem district’s garden, also known as the Con Coc (toad) flower garden.
After the success of previous seasons at various performance venues, such as the studio of the Vietnam Television Station and the Hanoi’s Bach Thao Park (Hanoi Botanical Garden), this time the organisers have decided to choose a flower garden in the middle of a series of French-style architectural works in the heart Hanoi.
Like the previous shows, this year the designers mainly use traditional materials, such as silk, linen, and cotton in 750 of the latest outfits throughout 15 collections by GenViet Jeans brand and 14 designers, including prominent names such as Minh Minh, Hung Viet, Phuong Thanh, Nhi Hoang, Tran Thanh Man, Cao Minh Tien, Huyen Nhung Nguyen, Cong Huan, Cao Duy, Chula, Thanh Thuy and Minh Hanh.
It is known that 50 models will participate in the three-day programme.
Designer Minh Hanh, the founder of the event, said that she chose Dien Hong flower garden because it is a convergence of beautiful architectural works of Hanoi, containing fascinating historical stories, and also a place to relax, for walking and dancing, for Hanoi people.
Hanh also expressed her hope that the event would contribute to making the garden become a venue for festivals and entertainment of the public, generating an impressive artistic imprint.
The stage theme for the event is the flowers of Hanoi, with freshly decorated flowers taken directly from the flower growing regions in the capital city.
