Exhibition on Vietnamese revolutionary soldiers and prisoners opens

The exhibition commemorates the 50th anniversary of the liberation of revolutionary soldiers imprisoned by the US-backed regime in the South (1973-2023) and the 48th anniversary of the reunification of Vietnam (April 30, 1975). The thematic exhibition aims to educate Vietnam’s young generation about the sacrifices their ancestors made for the country’s independence, freedom, and peace. Vietnamese female photographer wins international photo award

Photographer Khanh Phan’s work entitled “Floral Dress” has won the Grand Prize in the 2023 SkyPixel Annual Photo & Video Contest. The results were announced early this month. The award-winning photo of waterlilies by Khanh Phan According to Khanh Phan, the photo, taken in October 2022 in Long An’s Moc Hoa District, shows waterlilies collected by local women that look like a flower dress in the water. Her photo beat out 60,000 others submitted by photographers from around the world. In the caption of the work submitted to the contest, Khanh Phan wrote: “These women are harvesting waterlilies and forming a floral dress on the water. This beautiful scenery can be seen during the flood season in the southern provinces of Vietnam including Long An, Tien Giang, Dong Thap and Vinh Long “. Painting exhibition on oriental culture opens in Hanoi

An exhibition entitled “The Ancient Imprint of the Civilization,” features 19 paintings by eight Hanoian artists, was opened at the Temple of Literature on December 25. An exhibition of “Quoc Tu Giam – The country’s first university” is underway at the Hanoi-based Temple of Literature from December 20, 2022, to January 20, 2023. The month-long exhibition showcases more than 200 valuable documents and artifacts from Vietnam’s first university to give viewers an insight into the country’s education system, in which two different education systems coexisted: Confucianism and Western education under French rule. A month-long exhibition telling the story of Vietnamese resilience, creativity, and bravery in a 12-day air defense against the US troops was launched on December 5. The campaign, widely known as “Dien Bien Phu in the Air,” was a defense operation launched by the Vietnam Air Force and ground-based air defense against US air raids by B52 bomber – the most modern aircraft of the time – on Hanoi and neighboring cities and provinces. Ao dai  (traditional long robe) collection inspired by Thang Long Royal Citadel has been introduced in Brunei on the occasion of the celebration of the 77th anniversary of Vietnam ’s National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2022) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Brunei (1992-2022).   Amateur models perform the  ao dai  collection. Designer Vu Thao Giang introduced the  ao dai  collection named Thang Long Royal Citadel-Golden hallmark and won people’s hearts.
